OK got my second lesson today.

First lesson last month was on general iron play and has got me hitting my irons pretty well.

My putting is pretty hot right now. So I'll leave that out.

So either a short game lesson with the wedges or driving.

The last few rounds my short game has been OK, but could always do with some work, I've had some trouble out the sand (or not getting out the sand really !). And my driving is getting a bit wayward and getting me in little trouble before the hole has got going.

I'm favoring a short game lesson. What do you guys think ?

It's your money so it's your choice.
I would however advise the short game lesson.
During the lesson he may spot something that is causing you to be wayward with your driver :)

I got brought a Short Game and Putting Lesson last year, and although Like you my Driving is a bit wayward at times, the short game lesson has improved my game no end.

I am now alot more confident from about 150 yds in (my putting needs some work, but that is mainly on green reading). This was mainly down to the Pro teaching me how to use the same club from different distances consitatly better, and also to stop relying on my 60 Deg wedge when i should be doing a chip and run.

Given the choice of a lesson on a club you may use 12 -14 time maximum per round or learning a technique for shots you will be faced with over and over again its a simple yes to the short game for me.

Decided on the short game lesson.

Got to the club. No sign of the pro. Checked with reception only to be told he doesn't work here on Wednesday and Thursday.

They cocked up my booking when I rang yesterday morning. They checked his diary and couldn't find any booking for any day. So not sure what happened there then.

Bit gutted as I was really in the mood for a lesson. And to top it all there was a juniors group lesson on the short game area.

So hit a load of 7i's, practiced a while with my wedges into the catch nets, messed around with the setup of my R9. :D That was fun.

I managed to get on the short game area for about 10 mins after the juniors had finished. Got a bit of chipping practice in.

So a worthwhile practice session in the end. But would have preferred a lesson.

If the weather isn't too bad later I might get out for a round.
