Further to recent thread where I asked about fixing the face or the path if your swing was ott with open club face.

Been working on closing the face since last lesson and a few pulls aside I have been hitting the ball fairly straight. Today we worked on path. The interesting thing to me was the coach is about working the club face/path Into impact and less bothered by body positions as he reckons your body will find the positions it needs to deliver the face /correct path etc

It has been a bit of a revelation for me as I don't need to think about what my body and the club are doing so it reduces my swing thoughts somewhat:lol:

He reckons this method (I think he said external rather than internal - or other way round) is more effective for longevity and easier to remember than getting your body into certain positions.

What your thoughts on this guys?

Btw the lesson went well

I bow to the pros knowledge and experience but I still maintain that unless you work on your grip and stance to get it to the best of your ability, then you will have a fighting chance of the pro helping you to make rapid progress . If your body is in the wrong position to start with you will always make compensations in your swing.

Nailing the Grip, posture, and releasing club face was my first lesson.
