As opposed to last weeks annoyance of a round, today I played well and our group were the only people on the course.

Possibly because of the weather:

It was nice to have the course to ourselves, but it was bloody freezing :p

Not too sure really as to why the course was open, but winter tee boxes are in use (made out of an astro-turf material), as are fairway mats. So the round was no different to usual apart from the winter greens being covered in snow. We elected to add 2 putts on to our scores every time we reached the green - reducing any damage.

I enjoyed the round because my general ball striking was far better than the last round I'd played, and the banter was good.

Jeez I didnt realise it was so bad up there. We played in short sleeves and it was a fabulous feeling to get those wind/waterproofs off
