Just think of how many of those shots you have each round and it's prob not far away

I would like to know how they got to this, because a bad day in one area will mean an increase in another. Surly in an ideal world strong wood play, mid irons and putting would mean you do not need the other areas ;)

Where did you read that? Left over in a cracker? We all know blasting woods 400 yards is the future but if not, it has to be short irons, chipping and putting surely

Prob based on around 30 putts, 14 drives and 3 wood shots on par 5's, some chipping on missed greens the short irons are prob short par 4's and lay ups, long irons into par 4's.
I shoot no where near par but can see on an average of say 4 rounds where the figures come from. If you add up long irons and middle irons, chipping and bunkers prob relate more to the stats we keep
