That is the question

I had a cheeky bid on ebay for a 46 degree SM5 Vokey wedge as my new 716 ap1 pitching wedge is 43 degree.. my next wedge is 50 degree

now thats a 7 degree gap (my old pitching wedge was 43 degree so was only 5 degree)

my gaps currently go pw-gw 7 degree, gw - sw 4 degree sw - lw 4 degree

just seems an odd gap to me

I was thinking if I bend my SM5 50 degree 8 bounce to 48 degree and then have the 54 degree vokey bent to 53 degree that would even out the gaps to 5 between all my wedges

has anyone had experience with having clubs bent? and not round a tree :D

Don't forget that the bounce moves the same amount as the loft...
That 50/8 becomes a 48/6... Might not make a difference but....

Thanks for that! So the 54 that was like 14 bounce would become 13?

im considering it but can't commit at the moment

Are you struggling on the course with a 7 degree gap or is it simply you want more order in the wedges?

This is an interesting post for me, as I have just switched to 716 AP1 from TP TP CB irons, this PW in this set was 46 deg, which I took out and replaced so I could play Cleveland Rotex 2.0 46, 52 and 58 as I like the simplicity, the AP1 PW at 43 deg has screwed that set up. I guess I going to loose something from the top of the bag

I bought the AP1 47 Degree wedge to go with the set and did have 52,56 & 60 in the wedges.

Now changed the wedges to 50, 54 & 54 and ditched the AP1 47 degree as i feel i can take enough off my PW by coming down the shaft a little to cover the distance between the PW & 50 degree wedge

It was an OCD thing with me having the wedge in the gap, but definately not needed it.
