To anybody thinking of a SkyCaddie SG2.5

I ordered on-line for home delivery this morning but delivery is delayed due to the item being on "back order" and not expected to be sent out until early January.
So reserved at my nearest branch (Brighton) and will go down and collect tomorrow morning. Phoned them to just double check that they have it in stock, confirmed and have put one aside, only thing they don't have is the car charger but the young lad is ordering one for me and will post it out.
So first downloads will be....Whittington Heath, Beau Desert, Little Aston, Highwoods and The Addington.
Might also download Waterhall 'cos it might show me where the head of my 3 wood ended up in the bushes!

Just rang my local store, they wont do it because they have an offer of buy 2 get 1 free on the 2.5 :D Why would you want more than 1?

Anyway, guess I'll just have to wait 3-5 days.

It looks like the best way to do it is "reserve & collect" via their website. When I looked early this morning, all of their branches were showing stock. Two guys from the "Golf Magic" website have managed to secure theirs this way and are collecting this afternoon.
As far as a possible new model is concerned? Could be...the pro at Willingdon said he was going to be "doing deals" in January, but his amounted to a free accesssory and a round of golf voucher for a Marriott hotel. The offer that AG are doing knocks that into a cocked hat. I just hope I don't get a telephone call this afternoon to say that the Brighton branch have made a mistake...I'll go ballistic.

Closest one is Liverpool miles away. Cant be bothered treking into town.

I will order one to be delivered tommorow maybe.
 
I can't believe it. I paid £135 for mine without the case and thought I got a good deal. Anyone who turns this down at this price is a fool. I'm gutted- I've only used mien twice so far as well- I should have waited and saved the £20.

Bloody weird that Tony. I had no such problems with the Brighton branch. When I rang them this morning to confirm they had one, the young lad there confirmed they had two in stock and also confirmed that he had received my "reservation".
Fingers crossed nothing goes tits up.
Although if you are prepared to wait until January (and lets face it, there ain't going to be a lot of golf played between now and then) they would have to honour those orders placed online for home delivery surely?
 
I am in 2 minds on ordering. As good as this deal is, I just wonder how much I will play before jan and think I could use the money else where.

I might wait till Jan and see if they do any offers on the 5, if not I am sure I wont miss out by too much.

I've been lying all along Tony.
The real reason you can't get one is because I actually ordered 450 of them and they will be appearing on ebay next week at £149.00 delivered (without the accessories)
