This looks a really good driver based on the youtube videos I've seen so far, even GM's two reviews were pretty good.

The 430 would be my choice but it's only in white!!!!!!!!!! C'mon TM you do the 460 in black and white but expect the 430 users to all love white only! At that price thats a dealbreaker unfortunately.

Anyone had a try yet? interested in the sound as the 915 was first choice until I tried it:rolleyes:

I was interested in trying it as well but impatience got the better of me and I've ended up with the 915.

Granted it's not a 910 sound wise, but I didn't think it was that bad. Maybe because I've been using an SLDR for 18 months?
I assume it was the D3 you tried?

yup, best spin rates over the D2 plus I'm not keen on big heads. The 915 3 wood though I was very impressed with.

I'll be looking to have a swipe with this when its out. Went out testing today and not a lot between all the ones I tried. Like the look of the r15 and the Mizuno.

Going to wait until February and try the new Titleist, Mizuno and possibly the Nike drivers and fairways. Not a TM fan, I like what I buy to be the latest development for more than 2 minutes.

without getting into the whole TM/Titleist launch and marketing policies, I would rather have new(ish) tech regularly than slightly better every 2 years. The greater choice we consumers have the better, and its good for pricing.

True, nothing wrong with regular updates, as long as the update significantly advances and improves what is currently available. However when a company [Taylormade] produces new products, albeit in different tech lines, every few months, you have to wonder why the new slots in their irons, the changes to their drivers and fairways, could not be combined into one release in one new club, rather than several new clubs, with drip fed changes over a many months.

when the R15 is launched you might find it's nearly 15 mths since the SLDR so not as quick as some 'feel'.

The problem is though.....all these new launches by TM etc are very gimmicky, they don't actually give much (if any) improvement on what is already available.

If people want to believe the hype that is up to them but I've tried lots of newer drivers than my 910 and none of them have given me an extra '17' yards

I like the look of the 915 Gary. Which spec shaft did you end up with?

Would be good to see the R15 up against an R7.
If all their claims are true it should be a good 50yrd past it.

What claims?

Some of these seem to get repeated over and over again when, in TM's case there was a single claim for one club and it's now Calaway who have been pushing that particular claim in recent marketing

That each club goes longer & is more forgiving
I wasn't really having a pop at TM.
Could also go G10 & G30
Callaway........
Nike.........
