Having found a few of these and used them over winter, but wondered which was which in terms of comparison with Prem ball IE Prov1.

liked the TP but costs the same as a Prov

the other two are priced miles cheaper any reason our are the Project (a) and New Penta not premium??

Project (a) isn't a premium ball
Penta was replaced with "Lethal" which was subsequently replaced with the Tour Preferred (TP) and TPX

TP = Pro V1
and
TPX = Pro V1X

you can get the 2015 Tour Preferred's for around £25 a dozen - really don't perform much differently to a Pro V.

can't speculate on the new Penta's due to not using them but wasn't keen on the previous ones.
The Project (a)'s are good for the price - would compare them to a Srixon Soft Feel if I had to compare them to anything.

Seeing as though they're both around the £25 mark i'd go for last years TP's!

I really like the Tour Preferred. Reminds me of the original Pro V. A little more spin than the modern version. The modern Pro V, for me, is closer to the original Pro Vx.

I have heard that the new Penta is very like the version a few versions back that many players were disappointed to see disappear.

Project (a) should be compared to the AD333 Tour, Chromesoft etc. its a mid level ball.

As stated, the TP and TPx are equivalent to Pro V and Pro V1x

The Project (a) is similar to the AD333Tour

The latest Penta is a different ball altogether to the original Penta, very similar to the Project (a)

It worked for me Patrick, I think you just carry on to the checkout and it will add the 4th doz to the order. Having said that, mine haven't turned up yet although it did say 2-3 weeks.

The Tour Preferred are great balls. Very similar to the pro V1 (Taylor Made's equivalent). You can get them cheap (last year's model) but I think this year's is a step up, noticeably better though I can't really put my finger on why. But at the prices described well worth trying last years. Clubhouse golf are doing last years cheap too without needing to buy 3 or 4 dozen.

Absolute steal this. I ordered 4 dozen TP and they sent me TP X by mistake. Had another 4 dozen of the correct TP balls come through the post this morning at no extra charge and kept the original order. £11.25 per dozen! What a result.
