Evening,

It's finally time to order some new irons.

This time round I will be getting them fit properly and would like to head down to St Ives fitting centre, however I have a couple of questions;

- Do i book this through my pro, or direct through St ives?

- If it is through my pro, can I get a deal on the price (providing he is willing to) or am I restricted to RRP due to them being custom fit?

- What are the lead times for delivery from date of fitting?

- Has anyone been to St Ives for custom fitting? I've heard good things so far..

Cheers,

Richard

Do they do fittings for other clubs there? For all you know Mizuno, Cleveland, Ping could actually be better for you.

I've already gone through the selection process for brand / model at my local range. It's a toss up between Titleist AP2 and Callaway X Hot Pro.

I've played Callaway irons for the last 10 years, so fancy the move to Titleist.

You can only book through a 'pro' be it from your club or a retailer like AG. Once you have been for the fitting Titleist email your specs to the establishment that made your booking. You do not buy clubs direct from the fitting centre. Technically it is up to you from where you make the purchase. I expect there is a charge but I do not know who You actually pay. Hope this helps. Go and enjoy the fitting.

Any authorised Titleist dealer

Not direct from Titleist but You can buy from where you want, it doesn't have to be the dealer you book through, find the best deal.

That depends how busy they are, mine took about 7 days, that was for the full bag. On certain days, can't remember which you can have your fitting in the morning, get a tour of the factory and pick your clubs up the same day. The fitting price for this is a bit more.

It is very good

Cheers,

A mate from my club went a month ago. Had a really good fitting, new driver, irons and wedges all specced perfectly for him.

They also threw in a few gloves and balls for free.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. Just about to head over to see my pro to negotiate a deal.

Will be going for irons and wedges I think. I have a week booked off late April, so hoping to get a session then.

Went for a fitting on the 20th at Kings Acre, great day out still waiting on my irons thou, Club called on Thursday and said they would be another 4 days until delivery. It feels like I'm 10 waiting on Christmas Day
