Hi, I have a query regarding the AP1 712 iron lies.
I used to play Ping G10s which were fitted for me to red dot , which is 0.75 deg flat.
I bought TM Rocketballz standard lie and the toe of the club pointed in the air , so much so that some people remarked on it.
I have now sold the TM RBZs and am going to buy Titleist AP1 712 irons. I am hoping to buy these on line and am wondering about the lie, should I go for 1 or 2 deg flat ?
The AP1s and the RBZs lie for a 5 iron is 62 degrees, the lie for a G10 5 is 60.75 deg , so 1.25 deg flatter and I was fitted for these a further 0.75 flat.
I did hit standard AP1s at the range and hit them straight or with a slight draw.
Do you think I should get the AP1s 2 deg flat ?
Can AP1s be bent if bought as standard bearing in mind they are cast not forged ?
