Unfortunately I had a go with one the other day and have used it a fair few times and it turns out its almost 20 yards longer than my current driver which is really annoying.

Looking at purchasing one but i cant justify spending £300 on a club thats a year old.
Do the 915s start decreasing in price anytime soon?
Or does anybody know a good retailer where I can get one second hand perhaps?

The 917 will be out late next year, so prices for 915 might come down further then. Best bet is probably a second hand one on eBay. some new on there doe 229 inc postage, and second hand for less. Several shaft options available as stock (Rogue and Diamana varieties) and loads of custom options.

my mate is the same hits his a good bit further than the driver, he is not so good off the deck with it though and he's off 5

Funny you should post this

I just picked up an immaculate 915 d3 for on ebay with an X flex Diamana blue shaft.

Thing arrived today and it is mint.

was a lot less than £300 as well

I'm pulling the trigger on a new 915 on Saturday, got a custom fitting booked for the afternoon. Best driver on the market IMHO

Hopefully it will give you a few more yards, so you can get the odd one past me.

915 gets great reviews, so might get a fitting at Golf Principles next year.:)

Have to agree especially after trying them earlier in the year at a demo day. Can I justify the cost? Probably if HID doesn't go spare. Will it be longer than my current G25. On the results from the demo day, Yes. However the one thing it can't guarantee is my accuracy, down at 44% in 2015. It is a very good club but it still needs to be swung properly

I'd agree. I got fitted for one, was nutting hit 20yrds past my current driver (G25) but the dispersion was massive when compared to the G30 I bought. Was the same for the Callaway XR Pro driver. Dispersion beats distance with the driver 100%.

I picked one up on eBay about 3/4 weeks ago, really good condition £141 + £12pp.
Was an extra stiff shaft which didn't suit me but I had 910 so swapped shafts over the other day and hit it great

What one did you go for mate?

Mine is yet to be unleashed on the course in anger, however it is going great guns at the range.

Bet you cant wait for a nice dry round !
I went with the 8.5 D3 with the aldila rouge silver X flex.

I almost went with a stiff because I sprayed the oddshot right with the X flex. However, the good ones were so good that I went with the X. Largest total I got was 293 yards which was immensely pleasing with all my good hits going 280. I was averaging 275 yards.

It’s a good 20 yards longer than my Vapor Which just seems to spin far too much.

I hit that exact set up and it went like a Canon. Seriously tempted to give it a run out again.

Ye it was just the roll out was incredible. Might have to crank the loft up ever so slightly. The only thing I dont like about the driver is the sound. Far too bloody loud.
Looks like I am now a Titleist Fanboy.

Excellent choice of hardware!

Hoping mine will be here by the end of the week.
