hi guys im a high handicap player, i am currently using a cobra amp driver but thinking of buying a new driver. Is the titleist 913 d2 suitable for a high handicaper and is it forgiving at all? any help would be appreciated

Buy one, they are great ! :)

In all seriousness they are now aimed at all handicaps with the smaller headed d3 for the better players.
They have great stock shaft options as well a standard! Go have a hit! Try them all, but you won't be disappointed with the 913:)

I'd say most can use it depending on the loft and shaft, get that right and it's certainly an excellent club, the D2 is 460cc and reasonably forgiving and only 15cc bigger than the D3 which is the one that is interesting me at this juncture. It has very good adjustability as well.

You might want to look at the TM R1 as well, as it's adjustable from 8.5* up to 12* and the face can be closed/neutral or Open, the shafts are lighter than norm in stiff also

Mines 9.5 cranked down to 8.75 draw, I love it but the black face got beat up pretty quick. I used to have a cobra and sometimes I miss the sound it used to give off when I blasted one out of the middle. I also changed the shaft can't deal with flex in my driver.

how is your driving? thats a pretty tough combo for a 15 h/cap, no offense meant, but loft is your friend.

I had an 8.5 degree Titleist with the older Pro launch red, a very boardy shaft. 1 drive in 5 would be a thing of beauty and awe........but that doesnt get you round a course in single figs, the other 4 would cost me big time:(

If you seen me hit a driver you'd think it was a 15 degrees but because my ballspeeds so high its penetrating. Everyone would like to drive it better but today I hit 7/14 fairways.

Mark if you adjust to 10.5 it will be fade bias.

can not be doing with a fade bias driver sounds like trouble.

Youd be better getting a 10.5 and adjusting it down then it'll be draw bias. It doesn't make a massive difference just a very minor help for people who need it.

50% of fairways is pretty good. Where do you lose you're shots out of interest as sounds like you hit it a long way with talk of ball speed etc?

Inconsistent ball striking with my irons and chipping, I'm riding the crest of a wave with putting at the moment. My ball speed with the driver is 160 to 170 think that averages out at 290 with roll. Problem is when I'm swinging that fast if it goes wrong.....it goes way wrong.

It does close the face as you increase loft but the manual says the c2 setting promotes a draw....... Go figure.
