Titleist 910 D2 9.5 swap

Anyone interested swapping just the driver head? Looking for a bit more loft in my head...so to speak

Would be happy with either a D3 10.5 or a D2 10.5

Cheers
GS

Thanks, but you cannot increase the loft without closing the face and I want it set to neutral

I was under the impression the 910/913 series had independant adjustment?

The adjustment chart indicates as much:

1488_2010-910-chart-rh.jpg

As an example. A1 (Neutral) has the same shape bias (Face angle) as A4, but A4 position has an additional 1.5° of loft.

To my understanding of the chart, the only way the shape bias (face angle) would change would be if it went from A1 to, say, A3 which would, at a guess close the face.

I'm happy to be corrected if wrong though.

That's very interesting, thanks for pointing that out. I just did some googling and there is conflicting information about whether it closes the face or not, I am going to have to dig deeper

Until they make a driver head where the face moves independently from the crown/sole etc, I don't believe you can ever change the loft without changing something else as well.
I think the ugly dial on the bottom of some TM drivers does the best job.

When I had my 910D2 I tried adding loft through changing the settings, and it looked horrible (closed) at address to me.

On the flip side, my new driver looked slightly closed to me off the shelf, so I've took half a degree of loft off. Not because I wanted less loft, but just to open the face. Now it looks fine.

correct, the TM R1 you could have from 8*-12* and the face can be open, neutral or closed in all the lofts.

I was dubious when I got mine but it works exceptionally well.......

doesnt the 913 work better on face angles over the 910

Not sure as I've not hit a 913. Bearing in mind 910 driver shafts with the surefit adaptor will fit the 913 I'd have thought they'd behave the same, but I have no proof.

Sorry GS for the hijack :o
Might be worth trawling ebay for a head only. I was looking a while back because I had a spare shaft, and when they came up they generally went for £60-£70.

No worries, appreciate the help.

So, I gather nobody has a head they want to swap then. Guess its ebay for me.
