Hi all

we need to find three readers who would like to go through the fitting process for the new Titleist 909 drivers for a feature in the magazine.

The session is at Titleist's national fitting centre at Brampton (www.bramptonparkgc.co.uk) in Cambridgeshire on Tuesday 27th January.

The criteria is as follows
* Able to attend the session at Brampton GC on Tuesday January 27th 2009 (need to be there for a 10am start)
* Happy to be featured in the magazine
* Maximum handicap of 15

If you are interested please send an email to Paul O'Hagan
paul_o'hagan@ipcmedia.com with the following info

Name
Age
Handicap
Current driver including loft and shaft specs. Please indicate how long you have had the driver and if you were custom fitted for it when you bought it.

Paul and I will then select three golfers with a spread of ages and handicaps

Unfortunately Golf Monthly are not able to cover your travel costs for getting to Brampton on the 27th but you will be given the driver you are fitted for free of charge once it has been built by the Titliest technicians

Sadly my lack of golfing talent excludes me (pity as I am down the road from Brampton).

Still if you ever need an untalented high handicapper to be fitted for the new Cobra driver then I am your man.

Oh yeah, just noticed that handicap bit... 15 damn, damn & treble damn...

Lucky sods whoever has an official handicap under 15.

I don't know...! waving something under my nose I can't have knowing I love the shape of those new drivers.

Working... handicaplapsed & not re-newed yet not to mention previous handicap was somewhat more than the 15....!!!

Lucky so&so's those low hadicap players.

If this had been posted a few weeks ago I would have said yes, but the last few medals have done for me, as I would have been 15.4 but oh well.

Cheer up guys, what they are really looking for is three guys who can play with a repeatable swing who are going to be able to get the best out of these clubs. To get the best out of a driver with low to mid launch and low spin you really need to be nailing it every time. Handicap level indicated (15) is probably at the upper end of the scale for getting the best out of one of these beauties. (IMO)

There's got to be someone on the Forum who meets the criteria, best of luck to whoever it is. These are nice looking clubs indeed. It will make an interesting article whenever it is published.

Dont have official handicap, my last round I played 5 over, Driver never missed a fairway. I have done the custom fit on my current driver, 3 wood and my irons. Hope I can be of service but I doubt it.

the 0-15 handicap stipulation is direct from Titleist

In their opinion it's the playing level that's appropriate to their clubs. It's something they have always stuck to and marketed their stuff as for "better players"

I must say I don't 100% agree with it as you could be a single figure golfer who can't hit a cows backside with a banjo but are single figures purely by dint your short game skills

Lol When I started I was rubbish, but my short game used tosave me. But now that some repeatable consistency is aparent in my long to mid game, the short game has exited very jitterily stage left...lol

Ironic or what If my short game stats were like they were when I first started... well I barely need finish that sentence as I'm sure its something familiar to a lot of players.
