So I've gone and got some new irons and I'm having some timing issues. I've gone from my 712 MB with TTDG X-100 to MP15 with C-Taper Tour Stiff 120g shafts. Now thanks to these lighter clubs I have picked up around 6 MPH in my swing speed compared to my Titleist.

So the problem I now have is my club is getting into the impact zone quicker than my body and I keep catching the ground about 1/4 inch behind the ball, I can actually feel that my weight hasn't fully transferred as I hit the ball. But if I pick up the Titleist the problem goes away, so it's not that my swing is off, I'm just not timing it right with the new clubs.

So does anyone have any drills that may help me sort this problem out?

c-tapers around 10g less weight or maybes little more if the tt dg 's parallel tip x100's

given the description of the issue this a really good drill - it's a bunch difficult to do right though but would be worth persevering with

Exactly what I was looking for didn't find anything myself. What he is saying is exactly what I'm having problems with.

I firmly believe that if you have to "get used" to new clubs you've bought the wrong clubs. I hope not.

They are the right clubs. But I'm someone who's always played blades with TTDG X100 in. I needed to change due to not having the power to load those shafts anymore. Go for a more flexible shaft inevitably means a lighter shaft.

I am 50/50, good shot heavy shot. But the heavy ones are flying really well, but coming up short which means I'm missing greens.

Its just a case case of getting use to this change and finding a drill that can help me do it quicker.

Thankyou sir, that drill worked perfectly. Hit some balls before playing today and it was huge improvement. It took a few shanks and some thin ones getting it right on the range though

But once on the course it was a huge improvement, still a couple of shots caught heavy and unfortunately they both landed in the water. But a couple of more range trips and I think I will be sorted out.
