Watching Ba's penalty against Spurs in the Europa this evening and he couldn't have stop-started more if he tried.
I thought this was done away with a while back..obviously not.
Time to put an end to it once and for all in my book.

I agree. Suarez did it last year, Ronaldo still does it. I thought it was banned a few seasons back too

IIRC you can't stop, but you can slow down, which is semantics as far as I am concerned, I'm with you guys, ban it.

Never bothered Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink mind…...:)

Yep agree need to stop

Also the GK moving forward was supposed to have been stopped but still see it

All advantages should go to the penalty taker. Keepers move early off their line so why shouldn't penalty takers 'stutter'. If keepers were still there would be no need to do it.

nothing wrong with it- skip to the ball backwards if ya want- why on earth would you want to restrict the way each individual player runs up to kick a ball. Madness and sounds like something the PC brigade would love to get involved in

There are a few rules in football which exist but ignored. This is one of them. I'm with most of you, I don't like it and the rule should be enforced.

Thing i find is , the guys with the stuttering run up are relying on sending the keeper the wrong way and placing it the other side , very few slam the ball home .. doh ! goalkeeper just wait , it will take a vey well placed shot to score then .. that in itself will stop the guys doing it IMO

Don't see any problem with it. The team that earnt the penalty should decide how to take it. Make it more interesting and allow dummies as for free kicks!
