Journeyman Pro
Got some sad news last night that my pro Don Jones had passed away unexpectedlly on Sunday.
He's been the only pro i've had since i started playing and also was the same pro Kellfire and my dad used. Every lesson i had with him i came away so confident and any fault i had he fixed within 10mins.
He always had time for everyone and would come watch me on the range and spend a few minutes reminding what he had told me in my last lesson if he was not busy.
I'll always remember what he said to me after the first ever lesson i had with him " i will make a good golfer out of you" and the one of the last things he said to me when i last saw him a few months ago " you are a better golfer than you think, just trust yourself"
He will be missed by me and a lot of golfers around the north east.
