New kitchen being fitted in a few weeks and HID still hasn't decided between a glass splashback or tiles.

Now I know that for the spalshback the walls will need to be skimmed prior to fitting but would this be the case for tiles too ?

Fitter is asking for a decision as he needs to book a plasterer

no need to skim for tile prep bob. only thing to consider is the depth of the tile to the new plaster surrounding it, but your tiler should sort this with his depth of adhesive and edging.

Thank you, that confirms that tiling is my prefered (least expensive) option now :)

I'm close to finished on our kitchen now and I'm pretty sure we'll go glass for the two splashbacks

Can give a number of a guy in Herne bay if you want.
Have you tiled any of yours ?

May like to have that cheers.

We've tiled the floor with Travertine and are very happy with the result thanks. We are having the worktops templated tomorrow and the builder should be just about done then. Have you ordered your Kitchen?

Chris, I used this outfit and would recommend them without hesitation. Half the price of the kitchen suppliers quote, perfect colour match, quality safety glass and the sizes spot on...including cut outs for sockets.

You can get a quote on line by giving them rough sizes, number of cutouts, and colour code.
