Tigers Press Conference

I certainly hope the previous events in his life (which should have remained private imo) should now be put behind him. Hopefully Tiger will come back with all guns blazing. Love him or hate him, he certainly draws in the crowds.
I also hope he chills out a hell of a lot. 100% focussed he may be whilst playing, but couldn't he acknowledge the crowd, smile a bit, at least look like he's enjoying his golf sometime.
I pity his long serving caddy sometimes. Can't be much fun working for one of the most miserable golfers in the world!

What was the point to it??? :D

He was just asked a pile of stupid questions many of which I thought the answer to were private and personal!!

I see the drug believers were baying for blood and got water...knobs. :p

Had to laugh at some of the inane questions though. If they'd been short and snappy they could have been a lot more direct about what they wanted him to try admit. I think it says a lot though that Elin won't be there this week and I did actually feel some sympathy when he said he missed his sons first birthday. Irrespective of the whys and wherefores, I wouldn't wish that on any family man (servicemen, oil rig workers, basically anyone away from home) as its one of lifes milestones and he'll never get it back

TW is a knob on the course and off it, simples.

Couldn't disagree more. He is the best player of his generation. Whatever else has happened is immaterial. He is a golfer and the best in the business of getting it in the hole in the fewest shots on the most occasions. I don't see Phil, Kim (in particular after last night) et al doing cartwheels or high fiving down the last a la Happy Gilmore. Its a profession and Woods behaves with a professional manner on the course. Simples

I'm sure he's adequately compensated for his time x

Richest "sportsman" in New Zealand by all accounts. If you can call a caddie a sportsman.

He's a dam good Saloon Car driver and has won NZ National Title I think.

He handled himself OK, but.........did you see his eyes throughout the whole interview? Someone else on here has already mentioned it. He has lost the sparkle in his eyes, they are not vibrant, keen, alert, sharp any more. Some of you may say this is absolute rubbish, but let's wait until Thursday and see.

Could be that he was being pressurised into answering personal questions instead of questions relating to the forthcoming tournament........bloody journos!

Will be interesting to see his inter-reaction with the crowd, i.e. not his usual looking into the distance and ignoring them.
He might even stop spitting :)

Agree entirely. As I said earlier in the thread:

If he now handles himself as well on the course as he did in his press conference, then I am sure he will go a long way to redeeming himself in the eyes of his many critics on the other side of the pond.

I cannot wait to see now whether this is a more humble, respectful Tiger. I hope it is, but I suppose we'll see if a few drives go a bit wayward or some putts refuse to drop. If he can now find a caddie who isn't full of himself.....!

My tupence worth.

Enjoyed the interview. Its good to see Tiger back. Hes the guy that got me interested in golf and I still love watching him playing.

I feel he answered all questions well and liked the fact when asked about interacting with the crowd he said he would during practice days but that during tournament play he would still have his game face on.

I wish him luck in the Masters and would love to see him win.
(Dont bet on him now as I have put the hex on him)
