So after watching tiger last night I went out for the monthly medal today and seemed to be channelling his spirit.

Four birdies in a row from the second, after narrowly missing the birdie putt on the first, good putts to save par on 6 and 7 (didn't seem able to miss) before it came off the rails. 7 bogeys in a row from the 8th, pars on 15, 16, 17 before a closing bogey. It was blowing a hooley as well - the women's open has been suspended due to wind!

Disappointing in the end after that start but my best ever front nine on -2 and equaled my best medal score 73 (SSS 68) so will look with interest for the CSS coming out but have certainly done enough to get back down to 7!

Hard to judge with the wind but got a few up around the 240/250 mark (wind assisted)... did hit one a mere 160 (into the wind) though, fortunately a short hole....

It's been blowing here too but mainly across the holes so not much help really. We do have back to back par 5's that run next to each other and one is downhill and one is uphill 500yrds a piece. Guess which one had wind against

I do love bashing a drive downhill with the wind though and with it being my favourite hole too it doesn't get much better.
