Tiger wins

Great to see Tiger win again

The antis wont be happy but an awesome birdie birdie finish to win the Chevron, hopefully the start of the comeback proper :)

He's back

Tigers back on form. Great win tonight for him and not a fluke by any stretch - didn't make too many putts so the rest of the game was pretty strong to keep him in the running.

I have to say I was a bit disillusioned with him after all the headlines in the last couple of years but was really rooting for him tonight - surprised myself how much I wanted to see him win again - good for the game I think..

The list of other big names this week is also great reading when we are gearing up for 2012 Ryder cup

Lee Westwood back on top form & nice win, Rory winning in HK, great seeing Casey getting a nice finish again and awesome to see Poults getting a 4th place.

Re: Great to see Tiger win again

Wow beat me to it - great to see him win again - and Casey third is a great finish. Both have been finding some good form recently.

Re: He's back

Great play today. Kept it together and birdied the last two holes to win the match. Great celebrations as well. Golf needs Tiger.

Re: Great to see Tiger win again

you could see how much it meant to him.poor zach but what can you do.......birdie birdie finish.

i hate to say it but regardless of what the rankings say he is the best player in the world and i hope he gets back there.

Re: He's back

I don't have sky so didn't see it but I'm pleased he has a win too.

Is he fully healthy and fit now?

Which swing is he using - Harmon's, Haneys or Foleys?

Re: He's back

Was riveted watching him go head to head with Zach........game is definitely richer with an in-form Tiger in it....well deserved win tonight.

Re: Great to see Tiger win again

Looking forward to next years golf already, wins for woods, Mcilroy and westwood this weekend, should hopefully bode well for next year, and nice to see Casey get a bit form back after a 79.

Re: Great to see Tiger win again

....welcome back Mr Woods, he's a different class, always has been always will be. Looking forward to nesxt season

Re: He's back

Those last two holes should be of great concern to the rest of the players. Johnson was in pole position and playing first hit two great shots into 17 & 18 to really put the pressure on and Tiger stuck it inside him and then made the putts. Tiger will get so much confidence from that and not only does he now know he can trust his swing - the rest of golf knows he can trust it

Re: He's back

Golf is far bigger than Woods, IMO it was good recently to see some coverage of the other players (yes there are some) rather than watching coverage of woods spitting, cussing or disappearing off to the bathroom.

The game of golf might be bigger but, crowds, sponsorship and prize money are bigger because of him. I do wish they wouldn't show so much of him not hitting shots but like it or not, he is still the big draw for the media and playing well is good for golf.

Re: He's back

Do I like the man? Not so much after the past couple of years...but he is one he'll of a golfer. I don't think he'll get that aura of invincibility back but hoping that this win gets him back on form. Finishing birdie birdie to win outright was impressive. Well played Rory and Lee as well. What a year 2012 is shaping up to be!
