Tiger cheating!

Just watching back today's golf I recorded and Tiger on the par 3 4th anyone else notice that when he marked his ball after knocking his putt from just left of the green about 5ft past the hole he just threw his marker behind the ball and picked his ball up even though it's about a 1" away from his ball!

I've got a photo of it and I'll try uploading it.

Don't matter it's Tiger he can do what he wants, rules do not apply to him

Did he replace the ball in same position he lifted it from? If he did then there's no problem.

Although if he marked it that far away there could be doubt as to whether the ball went back in the right place....

That's not actually cheating on it's own, you would need to know where he put it back

It's sloppy though isn't it..?
He shouldn't put himself in the position for a tread like this.
Surely he doesn't mark like that all the time....

The title was tongue in cheek but why would you place your marker that far away from the ball?

I know he's not gaining anything by it but it's all a bit dodgy in my eyes.

You really think a freeze frame like that tells anything? I often throw my marker down behind the ball then move it in and mark properly? Did that happen here? We dont know. Once he lifted the ball how did he replace it? Utter witch hunt unless you have proper video of him marking and then replacing the ball

He knows the cameras are on his every move, the only reason I picked it up was because he just threw his marker down and I thought that looked strange.

Yeah I would have, it was blatantly obvious even in real time that his marker was nowhere near his ball.

But how does he know where the correct place is if he places his marker a 1" away from where his ball was?
