It's rare for anyone to win two big tournaments back to back but then Tiger's Tiger so who knows!

writes his own rules in golf so think the fact that he was won a big event this week (no great surprise at Firestone one of his most prolific events) wont have a bearing on his chances of winning this week
I had though Sabattini might contend in the US PGA but after collapsing yesterday I think he's now an also ran

think their's a few names in the pot tiger doesn't get his own all the time now a days. could always be a rank outsider

This is the sort of event that has often been won in the past by what I would term a second-tier Yank.
Those who fit the mould this year? Someone like country hick, Boo Weekley; Brandt Snedeker who is in excellent form and has sneaked into the top-30 on the Money List with a string of solid performances; Big Bert Wetterich who is playing somewhat better this year than he did in the Ryder Cup; or Nick Watney who has become a good player in 2007.
Maybe none of these to actually win, but perhaps post an E/W finish at generous odds

Listened to Tigers press conference on golf channel-he feels confident. Would not bet against him-if not Tiger ikely to be a previous major winner-Odds stacked against another first time winner-Only twice in last thity years have all majors been won by first timers-2003 and 1969.
