We've had some serious thunder storms & lightening since late last night. Loudest I've heard for many years, if at all. Powerful blasts of rain will also mean flash flooding!

My dog Max has been terrified all night, so not had much sleep as I sat up with him calming him down between 2am and 5am and then just as I thought it was finished and he looked OK, it started again, even louder!

He won't even go for a walk this morning, got to the front drive and just sat down, that speaks volumes :(

Have you had it yet, if not, its coming your way....

Started at 4am and carried on for ages. Water currently off and power cuts too - the joys of country living!

My Max and also David slept through most of it!!

I love storms - from the safety of indoors though. Waiting for a 9am course inspection but today's greensomes looking dodgy...

Nothing here yet, rain forecast for around midday and a fair bit tomorrow.

It's our Seniors' Section outing to Buchanan Castle GC tomorrow, obviously there was no way the dry spell could continue for a couple of more days.

Nowt here, the odd little rumble, a few spots of rain and thats it. think the temp has dropped about 10 degrees, so its on its way, but bored of waiting,,,

Very very frightening...

That is all.

Had to be done :D

Nowt here in Newcastle yet, heard one small clap of thunder while on the course this moring then a few spots of rain, but bar that nowt. I dare say when it comes it will come BIG as it is very humid and muggy outside and temp is around 25 degrees.

Is there an eclipse today? No? Guess I'm just about to experience some quite heavy rain then :(

got weirdly dark in Glasgow, offices without lights were full of faces illuminated by PC screens..........

I'm desperate to get on the course but wandering around a field with a set of lightning conductors is too risky today.....maybe:rolleyes:
