Off on my first golfing holiday abroad. 13 of us are going to La Manga, Thu-Mon playing all three courses. Any tips on anything from course play to bars, restaurants etc.

Looked on Trip Advisor and reviews are promising... Going last week in April

The la Manga courses back in September where a mess - far too much traffic on them these days had ruined them

West course is the best course, especially the tee shot from the 18th.... we had buggies a lot of the time and they keep you on the path to the side most of the way round. I certainly missed walking the course.

Wonderful place, where the sun always shines. Take plenty of cash with you, as all incidentals very expensive. Best restaurant for miles around is Via Romano in Los Belones, but be sure to book as its very popular.

North course will break everyone in pretty gently, not a walk in the park but not too difficult. South course has more water and Barrancas and is longer so will be more of a challenge for the better players, but higher handicaps will still enjoy it. West course I reckon is too difficult for some as it needs reasonably accurate ball placement to get round it. 18th is a great finish.
