Has anyone had a custom fit here??

I have heard good things about this place. I rang them earlier to find out some details and they said that what happens is i turn up and they have a huge variety of clubs from taylormade, yonex, nike, titleist. Price ranges from 299 upwards. So you look at the clubs within your budget and take an iron from each to their range to try out and see which ones you like the feel of.

Then you have a fitting by one of their pro fitters which includes lie angle, length, spin rate and all the rest of it.

Sounds pretty good to me...

I have only ever heard good things about the fittings at Thorpe Wood so well worth a visit. Know a few people who have been there.

I know that some on here have a really poor opinion of larger golf retailers but if you do not mind travelling a little further on than Peterborough, try Direct Golf on the A14 just past Huntingdon. They have a great set up on the range there. Do not, however, use DG Peterborough what ever you do, not good staff, only have an indoor monitor hitting in to nets and still try and rip you off an extra £10 for head cover which they mask as an extra year's warranty.
