Well, I've been having lessons for a few months now, and when instarted I had a straight to "power fade" shot, with a million mile an hour swing.

So, plenty of hard work done, and now I'm hitting a soft draw -"power draw" with a swing speed about 20 mph slower, giving the same distance.

Now I'm totally screwed, I'd never seen the left hand side of any of our courses fairways and I'm playing my first 18 of the year tomorrow. Should be interesting / entertaining!!

I hate this game....

haha, I played a course Sunday where anything right was OOB... that was me screwed and for a few holes it was

just enjoy it, every good shot you hit will feel immense, every crap one will wind you up big style

Big advantage to only hit one way, gives you a much bigger target off the tee! Takes one side of the course out of play.
You should be happy!

But I've spent all my golfing life taking one side out of play, I'm gonna be baffled on the other fairway to the left rather than the right!!!

Sounds like your doing the same as me - last lesson I was told that I was using my shoulders to much, not allowing the swing to complete properly - consequence everything going left.
It does take a lot of time and effort to get the changes to become the norm but it will be worth it in the end - I think I am trying to convince myself that this will happen as well.

Well, played 14 holes before it got dark, but I certainly got plenty of food for thought!!

First drive was a shank, always a good start!! After that, every drive was a low penetrating draw -wow! Found that my irons were straight or slight draws, but did have a couple of pushes, which I won lose sleep on, it's all in the wrists....

Think there maybe something in these lesson things! Got a lesson again tomorrow, then the club is having a par 3 competition on Saturday, which should test the accuracy.

I'm actually excited about the progress ( maybe I need to get out more )
