My Eldest has been give the date to have her baby.
I am on Grandad duty that day with her 2 year old.
I asked him this morning what he wanted to do and he decided to go to the zoo.
I said ok and when we get back I’ll take you to the hospital to see mummy and your new baby brother.
He replied no I don’t want a brother I’ll just bring a Giraffe home from the zoo instead.

One of my work colleagues lazily used them to connect some servo motor cables, looked an absolute dogs dinner lol.

I’m waiting for the knock on the door one day to find out my kids have an older sibling none of us were aware of. Joys of a miss spent youth early in my Army days posted to GermanyI asked my daughter if she would like a brother or sister some day. She said yes, she would like a big sister. I said unfortunately it doesn't really work like that.

He just left them laid in the bottom of the electrical cabinet, screens not connected properly etc, absolute disaster of the job. We always solder them but he wanted to take shortcuts and bodge it, what should have been a very easy couple of hours work took him about 6 hours as the machine didn’t work afterwards, he had to call another engineer for help who diagnosed it as his shoddy workmanship

Contacted the docs yesterday morning . I saw the doc at 11, blood tests done by him, Xray done today (would have been yesterday but they do not work on a Monday, just got to wait for an ECG at the surgery (surgery is undergoing a reorganisation and nurses appointment not available to next Weds).

I’m replacing another old light today with a modern funky LED light.
Going from somebody else’s choc block mess to the Wagos just seems like simplicity. They’ll be inside the light housing so no need for a box…
As a non electrician it is remarkable that for all the advances we have made, a relatively simple domestic light still needs 11 wires going into it. Surely there is an easier way, or is the electricians union the strongest, deep cover, subversive organisation out there? Stopping any progress or advancement that someone may make.

The house was built 30 years ago.
Things may have changed.
This does include a live loop and a loop for double switches. I know the whole house isn’t as bad as this.

MrsA made it to 50 before finding out she was the middle child, not the eldest. Thanks for the photo. I see in that the levers move to full vertical the ones I found I could not get to move that much (my main concern). I gave them another go and with a bit of effort they went that high. That changes my mind.
