You'd have to have a hard heart, not to have a smile on your face after him scoring, apart from Leeds and spurs fans of course.

A proper legend of the premier league, and I think one of the top 10 players of all time.

He would never play in the epl unless it was for the arse.

I have not seen the scores tonight, but th14 is still class, and always will be.

That said, at 34 he is not the answer for arsenal, and I hope they buy a proven goal scorer this transfer window. Not holding my breath though.

emotional stuff for all arsenal fans :D thing is, now we are going to have to replace him all over again. chamakh breaks my heart in a different way. hes rubbish !

Sadly, I feel the chamakh experiment has to be over soon. He has no confidence, and is no longer the player he was when he arrived. I guess playing second fiddle to rvp can do that.

Fantastic return for th14 though, one nil to the arse has a certain ring to it. Should pen a song about that.....

I guess it would come down to wages but is 34 really too old for Henry to come back for a season or two. Maybe on a play and pay deal. It could be ideal to help bring Chipmunk or whatever he's called through and regain his confidence and would certainly take the pressure of RVP.

i was really worried that it wouldnt work for him. didnt want to see him frustrated and it would be a sad end to the best player we'll ever have at arsenal in my life time! wouldnt you know, he scores a trademark finish with his 5th touch. rolling back the years while i hold back the tears ! :whoo:

It's just nice to see a player with so much passion for a club, it's all about money with most players, but Thierry showed true emotion and passion to be back in an arsenal shirt. Even if he is only here for 6 weeks, the buzz the younger players will get, as well as the help and advice in training it can only be a good sign.

They keep replaying the radio coverage on 5live - goosebumps and hairs on end every time.

I'm still not expecting him to offer us too much on the pitch during his spell back at the club, but having his experience and a more mature Thierry back amongst the squad will work wonders for them. He's still got that winners look in his eyes, something that is missing from 95% of our squad.

Legend, genuine legend.

Absolute class - I remember when he got a standing ovation from the Pompey fans some time back after a 5-0 drubbing. Glad to see him back, just wish Pompey could have got him!

I shall just sit back and wait for Ian Wright's/ Mark Bright's return to the Mighty Eagles- you know it makes sense Dougie!

Chris

Couldn't have been better scripted. It's not the permanent answer, and we do need someone to help Van Biscuit, but for 6 weeks it should never have been a doubt. Welcome home King Henry.
