Its nice to comment on a good experience and good service.

Some of you know that I use Chatham Range owned by Centregolf ( www.discountgolfstore.co.uk ) very regularly.

Had a nice touch today when I went down there for a practice. Ben, manager and pro was on the range and without asking he came over and devoted 1/2 hour of his time to giving me an impromptu lesson. This would have normally cost £22.50 but he was happy to give me his time for nothing as he could see I needed tweaking. The subtle changes he made to my grip and timing worked instant reward.

I have had similar experiences with Steve & Finlay (my regular coach) at the same place.

It is because of things like this why I am happy to pay £20 more for a set of irons through them.

I couldn't be happier with the guys and their service. I sincerely hope that some of you can share similar experiences.

Its good to see there are people who give something for nothing every now and then.
Its will also keep you going back in the future.

The pro i have my lessons with sometimes gives me free advice etc and also comes out on the course for a few holes and i play pro ams with him.

It just goes to show they are not all out there to fleece us.

The thinking is that any of us could achieve success & fortune but if we act like cretins to people as we make our way to success, and then some day hard times arrive, who will be there to extend the arm of goodwill and charity.

The pro i go to normaly chucks in a couple of extra tokens for the range every other time i go and after a lesson he normaly gives you a couple of tokens to work on what he has been teaching, for this i am probably going to go to him for a set of new irons in the very near future.

Had a lesson today and found out my pro is moving to Theale which is a fair drive away (2 junctions down the M4 plus the drive to reach the motorway - about a 40 minute trip as opposed to 5 minutes away now).

We are working well together and I like his style (he has got me from 20 to 14 since June) and as a result he has said I can have the few lessons for 1/2 price as a thank you for following him to the new venue
