My WindStopper even with my Insula sleeveless top underneath wasn't enough to keep the frosty early tee time from me feeling cold today, I switched to my Bates and immediately felt far more comfortable and warm.

Agree with Phil.

UA gear is very good. The Coldgear top I have is great.

I think that the Elemental gear is the replacement for the cold gear stuff - bought a vest and a puffer jacket this year with the UV lining and have been brilliant and kept me toastie - very impressed ( Warmer than the GG Insula )

Is that the infrared range?

Yep - the puffa has the bright yellow liner and sometimes gets too warm

And the sleeveless has the grey liner

Thought all the infra red thing was a bit of a gimmick - don't now :D

I'll admit to taking a shine to their gear over the last few seasons.

The thermal compression shorts I have are excellent. As is the Coldgear top I have.

Birthday in a few weeks so I may spend a small fortune.

Their compression tops are always very good - get some great deals on golfbasefor them - £15-20 quid each.

Lots of places are running out of stock as it gets towards the end of the winter season so best be quick.

Baz have a look out for Zero Restriction, its a US make i believe and come in larger sizes.

I got one from our pro shop a couple of years ago and is pretty good and is shower proof too, Also Oscar Jacobson stuff is pretty good as well though, mine has now been relegated to dog walking and shooting.

I'm not that big mate, chest is 44/46 but I just can't stand " huggy fit" which I why I tend to like a lose fit, inevitably this is no doubt against the thermal theory of trapped warm air between the skin

I got a Callaway soft shell from Golfbase a while ago and it's excellent, if anything it's too warm, looks similar to the second one you put up there Baz

when i say larger, i mean the fit. my GG jacket is on the tight fitting side, where as the ZR though exactly the same size and chest measurement, that is a perfect fit with plenty of movement room.
