I can't remember where I saw it today, but this goes against Mcilroy at the moment! I think he was quoted as saying Golf is his whole life!

That's because he is winning and having fun.

I'm going through some major swing changes at the minute and it is torture when out on the course. Some days I feel like not playing at all, however, all will be good when the changes are bedded in.

If you're a pro then golf should be your life, it's a pretty short window to be at the absolute top and the extra focus Rory is giving his game is clearly paying off. Personally, I think club golfers who become obsessed need to get a grip, it's a hobby and should be treated as such. We all want to get better but too many let that spoil their enjoyment

Up for a major at my place. Practiced a lot got second hole a pal was telling some rude stories, tears rolling with laughter then hit my three iron on par three and aced it. Will stop trying this weekend and enjoy it and see the difference.

Felt very sorry for my FC today

It was the club foursomes knock out final

We started off really well - 2 up after 6

On 7 ( par 5 ) he was left with about 70 yards to the green after 2 and duffed a chip

Then on 8 he hit a birdie putt miles too hard

Then on ten he flew the green from 90 yards

But we battled away to get it to all square with 3 to play - he had another duff on 16 but we scrambled for a par

Then 17 he put tee OOB , the 18 he put the second OOB

He was distraught - it was his first final

But just tried to tell him that it's only a game of golf and we had done well to get to the final and there will always be another round.

Hang on, this may explain my 22 handicap.

Off scratch with the lap dancers tho, but thats another story.
