Wrapping presents - what a pain in the arris, took me ages to do the wife's earlier and I've still got a couple to get her. Thing is she'll have them all unwrapped in seconds. And don't get me started on the greeting card industry

Ask the girl in the shop to do it.. Goldsmiths usually do a fantastic job of wrapping presents, not that I get her something from Goldsmiths every year, but I try to let the professionals do it...

A fine plan but most of the wife's were from places that don't offer that wonderful facility, only the one from Lush was

Then I would suggest those lovely gift bags. Place gift in bag, seal with a little piece of tape, place under tree..For the love of god though, dont just wrap it up in a tesco bag...That will result in a sulky strop and a ruined Christmas..

Get some boxes used for paper. You know with the lift off lid.
Wrap the lid and main box separately.
Put in present.
When opened take it out of harms way and repeat ad nauseum.

If the present is a small but awkward item place it in a tube, roll the paper round it and twist the ends so it looks like a cracker.

Like your style palindromicbob, I'll be using these for sure. Cost me an arm and a leg last year to get them all wrapped by a "charity service" at the shopping centre.

I hate wrapping presents. Me and Sellotape just don't get on. I look like an Octopus trying to put a jumper on with a roll of Sellotape and a pair of scissors in my hand.
:(

Don't mind wrapping pressies that much - it's buying the bloody things that's the pain...!

Actually the worst thing about Christmas is the fact it starts in mid-October...........

The worst thing about Xmas is that I've already had all my presents :(

Sure it was great getiing a new putter, couple of woods & other goodies back in October but it'll be a lean morning on 25th! Think I'll just go into the garden to swing the clubs & eat some worms!

If you embraced this, you would get all your shopping done in good time so you can sit back and relax and not fight the crowds!

Scissors are not deisgned to be used left-handed as I so, so my gift paper cutting is shocking. I work on the principle of having the finished thing looking good from one very specific angle, then place under the tree accordingly.

Reminds me of your golfswing

Must be hard with those safety scissors they have in your old folks home Smiffy. Bob - a tad harsh about his swing - nothing like an octopus - more like an old fool suffering muscle spasms :ears:
