I think you have to separate song from single here.
One of the worst singles for me is Ride On Time by Black Box, because it is physically painful to listen to loud without drugs.
Worst song is more inclusive. I am going for Love Me, Love My Dog by Peter Shelley (definitely not the Buzzcocks guy.). It should be a pastiche, but he is so serious it makes it cringewothy in the extreme.
