Morning all

So what golfing joys are you all looking forward to this weekend?

I'm playing my course at 7:30 on Sunday morning. It's my playing partners wedding next weekend - so the inconsiderate sod will be missing golf for the next couple of weeks so we need a good round this time.

Got a feeling I've got a good round in me this weekend....I drove really well last week as I've been working on my weight transfer and the short irons are getting so much more accurate. Hoping to beat my handicap by 3-4 shots.

Happy Friday all! :whoo:

I should be playing in our final qualifier of the season tomorrow.

I say should as HID cricked her neck yeaterday and is struggling a little looking after out boy.

If she feels OK, then I'll venture out and play the comp'.

If she isn't, my family comes first and I'll not play and look after my son.

Gives me an exuse to start my winter work early

Roll up club stableford with No.1 son tomorrow am, if he plays like he did the other night he should hopefully get his first cut. Maybe 9 holes with the little man sunday sometime, then H4H on Monday. I'm not working so I'm counting that as still the weekend!;)

forecast is cr@p, course is muddy after 3 days of torrential rain- I cant do another winter of squelchy mud and drives spinning back a foot.

Links golf is soooo the way to go all winter

Im going to play 9, maybe 18 from 1st light tomorrow on my own, then its the last qualifier of the year on Sunday, unless I get a top 3 spot and make the medal winners cup.....

Tomorrow will be swindle at 8.45ish then its' cleaning and packing!

No golf Sunday due 18:45 flight to Malaga for a weeks golf and beer with 17 mates from up north, playing La Quinta AB & BC, Marbella, Alcaidesa Links and one other (which nobody seems to want name so I fear it'll be Santa Clara again!)

It's fair to say I'm a little over-excited (and well into holiday mode) but it is the best week of the year for me!

If only GM let you swear....jammy git.

Playing an open tomorrow at Ballyliffin Old Course with the one and only palindromic-bob which will no doubt be a scream as it usually is with him

Then a friendly knock with a couple of mates at my place on Sunday

Forecast looks decent so really looking forward to what may well be the last weekend of the year where I play both days

Supposed to be playing in a four man team comp on Sat but one of they guys has pulled out and as the handicaps are set to a certain level we only have a couple of replacement options... it has to be a 3 or 2 handicap max. we might not be able to play.

if not the 3 of us left are going to play Moray Old.

Prob no golf Sunday as its the wifes birthday and i missed our anniversary a few weeks ago to go on a boys golfing trip;)

Watching a pro squash match tonight.

Going to collect this winters first batch of firewood tomorrow morning. Going rabbiting and ferreting with the kids on Saturday afternoon. Dinner in Brighton on Saturday night.

Sunday, watching my son in a rugby tournament in Chichester. Sunday afternoon, flying to Belfast then transferring to Slieve Donard in Newcastle to play in Pat Jennings Golf Classic on Monday on the 3rd best golf course in the world.

Driving Range tonight to try and get rid of the bollox I played on Wednesday, golf lesson tomorrow, then range to flush out the gremlins, a nice meal and night with wor lass, then the long drive down to Guildford ready for H4H on Monday, which I'm really looking forward to.

Playing across the border in Spain, at the Alcaidesa Golf Club. Got a 4 ball teeing off at 8:40am on their LINKS course. Check out the link below, with photos etc. The views of my hometown (Gibraltar) are stunning.

Also got my 1st lesson with the head golf pro at my local club, San Roque Golf & Country Club so really excited to see what feedback i get from him!

I've got a time for 8.48 tomorrow, but after shanking 30 balls in a row at the range (full shots, half shots, chips... everything out of the hozel) last night I'm not certain that I can be bothered. I might have a lie in and go to the practice area and see if it's any different on grass rather than the mats.

Pairs better ball comp tomorrow - looking forward to it and the social gathering in the clubhouse afterwards which is always a good laugh.

Waiting on a small cut - its not 100% sure as I messed up 1 hole last week and blew the score for the round but for handicap purposes it should still be a mini cut once that is reduced to a 2 over par - didn't come through on the board this week so chasing the handicap secretary to clarify as I dont want to be off the wrong handicap!
