The 'Wee Joe Mo'

Today was the second annual playing of the 'Wee Joe Mo'

I have played golf with my brother in law and his dad (both named Joe) most of my adult life and two years ago Wee Joe passed away. My B.I.law Joe decided it would be nice if family and close friends played at his home course for a trophy to celebrate his love of golf.

I blew it last year by 4 (FOUR) putting the 1st extra hole although I did win the longest drive.

I was on better form today and won the title (37 stableford points) and kept my longest drive title with an uphill 320yd punt.

So I just wanted to tell yopu all about the little memorial we have going and wondered if there were any others out there.
I am more proud of this cup than any other I have won before.

Yep, great idea. I think that's how I'd like to be remembered (but hopefully not for a while yet!)

320yd drive is a mighty smote too!

nice thought madandra.My dad died 4 years ago and he was a big fisherman,so the lads at the lake where he was a member hold a trophy for him.Not the same as golf but nice to remember the ones who pass away.

It is a unique day because we are all really close and the day is very relaxed BUT .... we go at it hammer and tongs once the first ball is struck. The drive was the kind you get once or twice a year but usually never when it counts so I put it down to a wee bit of help from above
