Anybody played The Earl's Course @ The Warwickshire??

Got a little away day there next Saturday and was interested in anyone's thoughts.

Played it a couple of times. Lovely course but not easy. It's beena while since I played there, I found it a bit long on some holes but to be honest I'm not the longest hitter anyway. The Warwickshire is an excellent venue, 2 courses both nice. Not sure how much you paid but 2 fore 1's are valid there & some great deals on the tee time booking sites.

I played one course there - I think East/ South before they made 2 courses from the 4 9's. I was not too impressed - a few nice holes but some poor designs on others. Overall, average and well below others such as Forest of Arden, Oxfordshire etc in that area - but a lot cheaper!

Hi

Played it many times and 3 words spring to mind long, boring and slog. Sorry, just an opinion but one shared by many others i have palyed it with.

I've played it (some/all?) at various times. I played it once off about 10 (playing well too) and found it very hard. It's well designed and a cracking course(s) (don't get me wrong), but I suspect enjoyed by the better player.....so enjoy!!!
Mere mortals needs to hone their long irons/fairways and be able to putt from long distance i.i.r.c.

One hole sticks in the memory....a 200+ yarder par 3 over a lake. I parred it but only after missing the green with a lot of club. :o

Don't worry about slating it, I'm on a freebie (virtually).

Looks a slog, 6700 off the yellows and obviously will play all of that with the weather we've had recently.

As said the earls is fairly tight in comparison to the kings course there. Have played it a few times and it has become very corporate and they've spent a shed load there. Can be kept waiting by corporate hackers and being a long course it can be a long round.

I played all loops a good few years back and it was OK. Not the best but definitely not the worst.
Some nice holes, some ordinary but you get that on most courses.
Worth a visit and not too expensive.
Nice clubhouse if I remember.

This is my home course!! They have spent a lot on drainage last year so it's in much better condition (considering the amount of rain we have had this weekend). There are some very long holes (600 yard 4th) and all the par 4 holes are pretty long too. The food is pretty good in the clubhouse too! Enjoy!
