Dont know if anyone is watching this game, but to be fair to Villa,if they played every game like they started this one, they would be challenging for a top six position,
Played Liverpool off the park in the first half

We played great and should be going home with all 3 points but the great Suarez managed to get them a draw with a fantastic dive. He was looking for something off the ref the whole game a finally got it the cheating

Should of won easily, not sure of the guys name commentating on Sky but he kept going on about how bad LFC played,,
But give some credit to to Paul Lambert and the Villa, they played very well, and it was never a penalty ,

I disagree
From the referees view it was a definite penalty
Imo you cant blame Suarez, you have do blame Guzzan, sprinting off your line
when the players going away from goal is reckless.
Not a sending off for the keeper, but defo a yellow card[crazy].
Imo every striker in the premiership would have been looking for a pen,Suarez just
doing what every good striker does, get to the ball first and let the ref decide.

Agree, never a sending off,Suarez was going going nowhere,

But he did (Suarez) made the most out of it,I can understand what you say, most strikers would go down in the box and claim the penalty, and proberly every striker (forward) playing in this modern game would do exactly the same,
Dont know if this is the correct way to play football,IMO (Not) but all the money that is involved in game,I suppose that is what people expect.

Great performance by Villa but thought Liverpool were poor in the first half. Soft penalty but there you go. Was given and Gerrard scored.

Give some credit to Villa, (I aint a Villa fan)
Don`t think Liverpool were poor, just think Villa were better (alot better)
And this is only based on based on past performances..

Thought villa played well today - should be well clear this season

My eldest son went to the game not expecting much from Villa but was disappointed at the result in the end. I watched with my other son and he certainly felt there is now more optimism for Villa.

They were good until they lost Agbonlahor to injury. Unlucky to have a fall like that.

I think Lambert got it spot on. Villa played well last year, Liverpool attack wise battered villa, but only got 1 goal. They had about 29 chances last year IIRC, but villa mugged us and got 3 points.

This year villa got off to a great start and fully deserved a point and could have had more. Fair play to Rodgers, he changed it after 30 minutes so we went 3/5 at the back, then we got back into the game from there. Lucas going into the DM also helped as Gerrard was having a shocker. I'd have liked to see us revert back to the 4-4-2 in the last 15 minutes as we built more pressure, just to ask them a few more questions.

At the match I didn’t think a pen, there is slight contact, but I wouldn’t be happy to be on the receiving end of the same decision.

We badly need to keep a few clean sheets, and mo matter how good a shopstopper Mignolet is, distribution, crosses and dominating your 6-8 yard area is just as much about being a good keeper.

A good, honest, assessment LB

If Rogers isn't desperately searching for centre backs and a defensive midfielder this month I fear you may end up outside the top 4. Suarez and Sturridge can only do so much.

Mignolet had a poor game from what I saw, although wasnt watching the whole match intently.

Enjoy Fairhaven tomorrow :fore:

The problem is he spent £25 mil on two cbs in the summer !!

Massive need for a destroying DM - it's the midfield soft centre exposing the back line that's suffering plus our full backs are shocking

It's great being so open and attacking but Buck needs to find a balance

Really? Who'd they spend that on! Thought Toure was a free and they only bought the young lad?

Cissokho is an absolute bombscare. Yet to be convinced by Coutinho aswell.

It’s as a team we can’t defend free kicks and corners. If you look at all the other LFC teams, it’s the same throughout the club. U-21’s, U-18’s are the same, we play some great football, score loads of goals but let in cheap goals.

It is great to see great technical players such as Coutinho (although not this season), Sterling’s quick running, but in England you still need some big hairy-arsed defenders to keep the goals out as well. Benteke is a monster but I thought Skrtel done decent against him today and won a few headers. See what he can do if he tries to outjump players, instead of just dragging them down towards you. A good defensive coach should be looked at. Look at what Steve Bould has done at Arsenal, and they don’t have loads of giants either.

At the moment, I would also give Brad Jones a go for a few weeks, Mignolet is making one rick a week at the moment, which is not premiership standard. Give him a rest for a bit, I say. I don’t rate Jones highly, but Mignolet needs a kick up the arse at the mo.

The Yanks also needs to back him, we must have the worst (cheapest) bench in the top 10. 1-11 we are strong, but we need top class, reasonably experienced game-changers on the bench. City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and United have very good benches, we don’t. That is where city/Chelsea’s extra 100’s of millions are making the extra difference.

Sakho was £18-19 mil

Coutinho is quality but needs to finish better - great ability on the ball

And Mignolet is a good shot stopper but poor in every other aspect - would take Pepe back in an instant

Sakho was 15 or 17 mill, Illori 7 mill, but more one for the future. Coutinho will come good again, but poor this season.

Yep, should never have got rid of Charlie Adam. What did you pay for him £8m? bargain.
