Don't know why, but the song "Beat Boy (hit that perfect beat boy) came into my head. So anyway played it on YouTube and I noticed The State Nightclub appearing along with bits from the film "A letter to Brezhnev"
i remember going to this club in 1987 whilst staying in West Derby. The thing that stuck in my mind was that then back in 1987 it only sold cans and bottles, no draught. I also remember drinking cans of Holsten Pils (before they changed it)
So to my point, what happened to this club/venue, is it still there, or is now a pub or something else?
