hello mate. this is my first message ever on any site. I played the springs a few weeks ago with usual playing pal. It was really heavy rain which spoilt it a bit but the course was very well kept and lovely greens, even after all the rain! the holes running along the thames are some of the better ones and theres a double green as well, which i thought was an interesting feature. I'm not a great player but i didn't find it too daunting. give it a go!

Have not played it myself but live quite near so know a few who have. I have heard that it is tidy and well kept, fairly forgiving if you go offline and perhaps a little up and down and featureless. But friendly and welcoming so a good day out! Let us know how you get on?

Re: Golf in Oxfordshire

I have found some "player reports" on this golf course from a very useful site I found a few years ago....
http://www.uk-golfguide.com/england/53720_reports.html

UK Golf Guide holds information of all the courses in the UK together with some courses found abroad.
I find it's well worth browsing the site for information on courses I get invited to because the reports are posted by guys like you and me who have shelled out their hard earned, rather than a magazine reporter who may have a vested interest in compiling a flattering report on what could only be described as a goat track.
The site also links you to a particular clubs website (if they have one) which will usually give you more information (including pictures) of the course, together with a representative scorecard and useful information on green fees, any special offers (two fore one voucher acceptance) that sort of thing.
I recommend bookmarking the site for future reference
Rob
