Tour Rookie
As some of you lot may know I love me bikes........and my latest bike was a lovely gsxr 1000 which I posted about here http://forums.golf-monthly.co.uk/showthread.php?52990-motorcycle-update
Now when I posted about the thou I was currently in the process of selling the bike to fund a family holiday which I had booked and paid the deposit for......
I managed to sell the bike for £2800 and the new owner was coming to collect on the 6th of may........I went to fuel the bike up for the new owner on the 5th before heading With the family to fife and I went and did this(see pics)
I couldn't believe it,lix toll is 2 miles out the village and I made the rookie mistake of wearing just my jeans and hoodie, something I never do but a mistake I will never make again.
I was heading back from the garage when I was overtaking a line of cars and whilst accelerating in 3rd gear I got into a massive tank slapper which I couldn't get out of.....I've had a few over the years and a fair few on this thou but this one was too far gone and ultimately the only result was the end result.....tbh I thought I was dead,I knew I was going down and when I did go down I immediately thought with the speed I was going and what I was wearing that I would die.
Thankfully I am still here......and I've decided golf will be the safer option for the time being.
I would jump back on the bike ASAP but for the families sake I have promised to put bikes on the back burner for just now....maybe 3 or so years down the line.
