I work as a web designer. Every so often Google and other Search Engines make changes to the way they do searches for websites when you 'Google' something.
Recently Google made a few changes.
I'm not an expert in this field (I build the sites, not make them appear in Google) but my understanding is that, of late, Google have made some changes to the 'importance' of older sites, so 'Googling' something can bring up sites which are old, but have had a lot of views. Perfect for a forum post wouldn't you say?
Then, it simply means these idiots who are posting on very old posts (see the current THFC post in the lounge from 2008) are simply posting on the most popular websites according to Google.
I may be wrong, but it seems that it all falls into place with Google changes.
