This line is beyond hilarious

To even suggest that a boost in golf is down to a Handicap System as opposed to Covid is funny

“Officials insist the new system works well and point to growing participation numbers, which are expected to be further boosted by McIlroy's dramatic and inspirational play-off win in Augusta.”

I know quite a few people who have come back to golf or have started golf none have done so because of the handicapping system.
Though I know quite a few who have given up on competitions because of it.
Locally our participation rate in competitions has plummeted, though I would hesitate to say it is all due to the handicapping system ,I'm pretty sure that some is.

I think we have done the " WHS and cheating" to death on this site.

However judging by one swindle I play in (with the majority aged 70 or over) very few will put in cards because they are happy to continue to score 40 or points contrary to what Moir wants.

Two in particular consider it to be cheating with one having his 4 most recent scores over 40 points, yet I got moaned at like mad for putting in one score over 40 points simply because I put in a card virtually every time I play.
