Sad as I am, I subscribe to the 3 major golf mags. Usually Golf World is first through the letterbox and this month it was a 26 page Power special. Decent read and a few possible tips I could take on board, together with the obligatory interview with Joe Miller on how to carry it 390 yards.
Then today Today's Golfer and GM arrived. First out of the post box was Todays Golfer which on it's cover has declared this month to be 'The Power Issue'. OK I thinks, some more power tips and yet another obligatory interview with Joe Miller on his daily routine. I wonder where GM are going this month. So I excitedly looks on the front page and guess what, it's 'The Power Issue'. Luckily there's not another Joe Miller interview, but some more tips. So I suspect I now have no excuse not to carry my drives at least 300 yards.
Plus as an added bonus for all you readers there's a catch up on NGThinkers with even a picture of us all, (double chins ahoy), in there to excite the ladeez no doubt.
