Well you can't miss it in the ad breaks on Sky - the PP crazy golf 'dictator' ad. I must be getting old and very grumpy as I find this ad hugely unamusing and actually quite offensive and sick. Of all the crazy golf 'scenarios' PP ad agency could have come up with for the ad - why have they come up with THIS one. Do they think that golfers would find this funny?

Well considering that one of their previous offerings involved a team of blind footballers kicking the proverbial out of a cat, some might argue that this was actually a step forward for them, but no, I'm with you, it's not funny.

Is it? I've seen the advert, I've commented on it, but I still have exactly the same amount of money in my pocket as I did before I saw it. Surely it only works if I part with my money.......

I don't follow this logic that if people are talking about an advert then it is working. If I find an advert deeply irritating then I won't buy the product; I am getting to that grumpy age though :)

I notice it - I dislike it. What sort of person do PP think they are appealing to and who told them that golfers fit that profile? I don't go around yippee'ing that we kicked Saddam's a**e. A lot of people died in the Iraq wars - and that's not funny.

And I am thankful that I am not alone.

Not so sure that this is actually aimed at golfers and it's the pub-lout type that will bet on anything that they are trying to reel in.
Most bookies will know that a golf better is going to be on golf regardless of gimmicky commercials and will probably be quite resolute on who they are going to bet on and why.
This seems to want to make that leap to the non-golf market.
The advert is neither funny nor clever to this golfer but some on-golfing mates think it's great (they used the same one at The Masters)
