Although tee off times are advertising 100 plus courses as available for tee times tomorrow, called about 7 of them and all are closed today, and not much chance of opening tomorrow.

Never known a 3 month spell like it for rain in my life.

Hope the rain eases to give some relief to the courses and peoples lives - we have been very lucky

Shame it's a bit of a drive to get a game around here

Same in North Wales. Never known Conwy to be closed as many times as it has been over the last couple of months for rain reasons. It is fully open this weekend though.

Have you checked Walmersley LB? You must be an Eager Beaver wanting to go out in this.
I'm off to the Range to finally get off this sofa and kill the Boredom!

I have no inclination to play in that weather. range later maybe.

Not even doing that. Gusts hitting 40mph at the moment and still feeling a tad delicate. A day for the sport on TV. Short game practice tomorrow so happy to get a golfing fix. Although its been wet and my course is what racegoers would call heavy in places, it has been open most of the time if I'd wanted it (no thanks in the wet and windy weekends we've had) and surely better being closed for weeks by snow as I know some have been on here

We're getting absolutely battered here and have been all night and all morning, back to cabin fever, it's like snakes & ladders with this weather ☔️😞

My course is open to members but it really shouldn't be. Was up there chatting to the Pro this morning and he was in full agreement that in past years it would have been shut, but the wet weather has been so prolonged this year that it would have been financial suicide.

I really can't see the course recovering from this by May. Maybe June/July at best!!!

My gaff closed yet again! :(

when will this rain end? Only played 3 times in the Sunday winter league and looks like it will be shut tomoz too

Ours has been shut most of the week and now the weekend too, never known it before. Our pro is giving short game and putting lessons for free over a couple of hours today and tomorrow, smashing lad.

Not joking.

Is been border line silly this year.

Mind you. No golf course in the world could have looked as bad as the Wigan stadium during lasts night game.

Was atrocious.

It's getting ridiculous now! Walmersley is open but I'm working all weekend and don't have a chance to get out. Then during the week when I have a spare 90 mins for a quick 9 holes it's shut. Maybe due to increased potential for revenue on a weekend, but never mind! Itching to put cards in for my h'cap :(

Feel quite lucky reading this, we have had 1 day closed so far this year as we haven't the rain you lot have had, playing tomorrow and the forecast is lovely and sunny.

It's relentless and driving me crazy.... We had some real bad flooding just st after Boxing Day and won't be on full 18 holes until April at the earliest!
We should have our top 8 holes open all the time as they drain massively, but I am guessing they have closed them as they will get so much traffic and in this deluge they will get destroyed!

We were running out of options then by the time I finally found a possible (Leyland), Birchy's missus won the battle for the trousers this weekend.;)
