Is anyone going this year? I went last year and it was pretty shocking but they've got a new marketing guy this year so I'm hoping it'll be better!

100% agree...hated that section. I think this year there will be a lot more stuff to try....fingers crossed for a big driving range also rather than the 20 yard one from last year!

No one ever seems to say nice things about golf shows on here... is it just too crap and all the same thing?

last year it was a third (in size) of a hall..... there were 4 or 5 bays with people selling clubs that you could have a hit of (which meant long queues), 1 simulator (which was absolutely rammed with 30-40 people crowded round at all times), 1 decent shop selling everything you could imagine (but at normal prices) some food bits and then the section you'd want to avoid with people pressure selling holidays or those magnetic bands to stop you falling over.

Been several times and never really enjoyed it. Too many queues and impossible to try anything out properly. Too much timeshare and holiday selling with enormous sales pressure and too little proper golfing merchandise. There was a big one at the NEC which I thought would be better but wasn't

What kind of thing would you like to see there?
For me more bays with people giving lessons.... more clubs to try.
Also more simulators where you can play a hole on famous courses etc
