The Lake District weather

While fortunate enough to live 10 minutes from the boundary of the Lake District National Park it does come at a price.

We have Lakes because it rains quite a bit!

The really bad weather has started early this year.....

I suspect I had better set off a little earlier than normal for my night shift today.

I remember noticing the last time I was there how many shops there are selling walking boots and waterproofs. There is a good reason for that .

It looks bad for the next couple of days, stay safe.

Lived just outside Ambleside for a couple of years. Sept is beautiful. Kids are just back to school and the towns, villages and walks were quiet, as were the pubs May onwards could be mental, especially when you wanted serving in the pub!

The weather? It wasn't too bad. Yes there is more rain but its not horrendous. And if you have the right gear, no problem.

I’d move there and be as remote as possible.
