The Known Universe........

Wow man, that's just, like, awesome! I mean. Wow dude! Mind blowing.

Back to me now!

When you consider what we didn't know 50 years ago and what we know now. Whats the next 50 years going to hold?

Creationism, and the 6000 year argument or the 'big bang' theory. Whichever is your choice, you can't but think that we cannot be alone.

Now, where's Ripley!?

I think all but the most naive creationists gave up on that argument years ago. I think when they claimed God put the fossils there to confuse us (or something similar) that was they had run out of ideas, but then it must be hard when you've been brainwashed and don't have any scientific proof to justify your delusion.
As far as life (of some kind) elsewhere in the universe is concerned, I agree. It seems far more likely that there is than is not. But im not brave enough to claim the existence of anything without proof, unlike those creationists

You've described my brother and his family there!! Never could two people from the same parents have such opposed ideas and views on this. Always makes for rather tense get togethers.
I know the feeling, it's the same with myself and my Grandmother, and any Jehovah's witnesses that dare to knock on my door (they don't any more), a conversation becomes a debate, a debate becomes an argument. I don't think they realise how much reading i've done on the subject because I look too young to care I suppose.

Women are easy to work out, dead easy. The only trouble is you have to keep working them out every nano second!

If you need to know about the universe just ask my 11 yr old. ;)
