Morning all

In my usual over excited fashion, I am getting very over excited about the Derby this saturday. New suit purchased, train times planned out and table booked for dinner in the evening.

Fingers crossed Dawn Approach wins the Derby as I had a nibble on him at 12/1 before his 2,000 guineas win.

I've done really well this year with antepost punts so almost feel like I'm due to lose one.

Regardless of the Derby result (although I'd rather have my winnings) I really do enjoy the day for the atmosphere, usually decent weather and the live music. Oh yeah and the horses.

Anyone else heading down/up/sideways this year?

That's a very nice ticket to be sitting on Dawn Approach.

My mate is very very close to the Bolger yard and he tells me this will get the trip and its bouncing at home.

I had a decent punt on it in the guineas @ 11/4 and backed it all the way down to sp.

I've had a decent punt at 7/4 and I wouldn't be surprised to see this go off @ 4/6.

I'm not a massive fan of the flat racing but I hope you enjoy your day.

Thanks Stuart, fills me with some more confidence. I couldn't see anything to beat him after watching previous runs as I, like you, am not a massive fan of the flat but I do really enjoy the Derby day atmosphere.

Fingers crossed for the both of us then

LOL sorry, thought you were on about the Oaks on friday. plus i do like banana and toffee puds too!

Haha no bother mate, I was only having a joke.

I'll take heed and have a nosey at this pie/horse on Friday.

Worth a look. Mrs Rooter works for Hughie Morrison....

Ah right now were talking, I'd suggest maybe keeping stuff like this to pm's due to this being a public forum and all that ;)
